Anthony Ellis knows how to entertain.

Ellis’ family bought the Sunset Ellis Restaurant and Drive-in Theater in 1955, and it has been in operation ever since. Built in 1947, the Shinnston theater is West Virginia's second oldest drive-in. Movies are shown April through September.

What sets the destination apart from all others is the Ellis restaurant, featuring home-cooked meals and seasonal specialties. But the restaurant’s most famous offering is the Giovanni sandwich that is not to be missed.
