Smith Candies was formed in 1999, to purchase Susan Kay Candies Inc. Manufacturing. Which was established in 1952. Susan Kay Candies was built on the concept of quality handmade lollipops, in variety of sizes, and always utilizing quality ingredients for flavors that will tempt anyone's taste buds.

In 2002, they expanded their capabilities, and began to manufacture Homemade Fudge, Cotton Candy, and Cut Rock Candy, while continuing the tradition of handmade lollipops.
