Chris and Rebecca Arnold of Boone County wanted to start a farm, but regular livestock just wouldn't do. Wanting something different, the Arnolds settled on alpacas. Originally from South America, alpaca fleece is used in making fleece garments all over the world. But the best thing for Chris and Rebecca, they've named all the animals and treat them as family pets. Jenni, Nitro, Samson and others provide the Arnold's a sorce of income with their fleece, but also hours of enjoyment. Gentle and curious, the alpacas are great with kids, and Chris and Rebecca will take them for school visits, church outings, and 4H groups. Come and visit the Good Sheperd Farm in Boone County, you'll be glad you did!
