MOUNTAINEER RC CLUB
You can fly real airplanes, from the ground!
Folks from every walk of life have come together under one common interest, the love of airplanes. Members of the Mountaineer Radio Control Club build, paint, detail, and finally fly their own model aircraft in a vacant field in Kanawha County. All models of airplane are represented by the club, modern, WW1, WW2, and vintage planes. Meeting every weekend year round, rain or shine, club members proudly fly their creations at amazing speeds and perform incredible mid-air acrobatics. Newcomers can train on a "buddy" system before purchasing their own aircraft, and most pick the skills quickly, especially kids! If your looking for something different to watch or get involved with, the Mountaineer RC Club may be for you.
