TRANS ALLEGHENY BOOKS
A unique bookstore is home to the largest collection of used books in West Virginia.
From the first sight, Trans Allegheny Books, (originally a Carnegie Library building,) grandeur is evident. Inside, the wrought iron and brass spiral staircase, stained glass windows, glass tiled floors are all stunning examples of grand architecture. Among the 500,000 titles of new and used books, and West Virginia titles, you'll find vintage wooden cases throughout the building which hold rare and collectible items. Link the past and present with a visit to Trans Allegheny Books and enjoy the magic and seductiveness of early 20th century Parkersburg.
