Hawks Nest Golf Course Devestated by floods and debris in 2001, Hawks Nest Golf Course has re-opened in June 2005 and is better than ever. With several new tees and greens, and a new irrigation system, the 9 hole Fayette county executive course is ready for play. Originally owned by Union Carbide and Elkem Chemical, West Virginia State Parks now operates the golf course. It is open to the public 7 days a week.
