Spanish Sweet Onions
Formerly known as Gentle Giants, these large sweet Spanish onions are marketed under the name Spanish Sweets from Idaho and Oregon. From September through March sweet onions are hard to come by, however, Spanish Sweets are sweet, store well and do beautifully for sandwiches, burgers and onion rings. They are also great baked in their own jacket. Use as you would any sweet onion.
