To microwave green onions, simply place trimmed green onions (remove roots and 1-2" of green tops) in a microwave-safe container in 1/2" water covered and microwave on high for 4-6 minutes.

Hint: Microwave poly bags are great to cook any vegetable, especially green onions. Same procedure, seal the bag except for one corner, to allow steam to escape.

Drain and place a serving dish and top with butter and Parmesan cheese or a Lemon Butter Sauce.
