Garlic Bread

Ingredients
Use roasted garlic method for a more subtle flavor or for stronger garlic flavor, squeeze elephant cloves through a garlic press and mix with softened butter or margarine or use in this recipe for super garlic bread.

  • 1 loaf Italian or French bread
  • Garlic Butter or margarine
  • Paprika to color and taste
  • Chopped parsley, oregano or basil
  • Pinch of salt (optional)


Directions

Cut loaf in half lengthwise and place cut side up on a cookie sheet. Spread each half with garlic butter or margarine. Lightly salt, if desired. Sprinkle with paprika and chopped parsley or favorite herb.

Broil under broiler till browned and toasted. Cut into desired slices and serve with salad or spaghetti.
