Fresh Kale

A member of the cruciferous family of fresh vegetables, consumption of fresh kale helps reduce the risk of cancer.

Labeled a "super vegetable", fresh kale is very rich in vitamin A beta carotene, vitamin C, is very low in fat, high in potassium, calcium and iron, while low in sodium and calories. Also, it's a significant source of dietary fiber. Wash and clean thoroughly and remove any tough stems.
