Bosc Pears

Available October through March, fresh Bosc pears can be eaten out of hand but are better served poached or baked as a side dish or dessert. Having a nice buttery flavor, Bosc are bell shaped with narrow slender tops. The skin is very russeted and will never appear smooth.
