Wildlife Calendar
Patrick McMurtry The Perfect Gift For The Nature Lover

Everyone has someone of their gift list that loves outdoors and wildlife. If you need some last minute gift advice, why not give something they'll enjoy year round....a wildlife calendar? Jim Fregonara with The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources describes what sets this calendar apart.

"We've been printing calendars for over twenty five years and this calendar is unique versus ones other states have because we still feature original artwork. Artists from all over the country submit their artwork, we have a big contest and we'll pick twelve winners that way."

And the artwork is stunning. That's not all you'll get inside. This truly is an interactive calendar full of cool stuff you'll enjoy reading every day of the year.

"There are interesting facts about hunting seasons, hunting regulations, when's a good time to put up a bird feeder or take down a hummingbird feeder. It has daily sunset and sunrise times, best fishing dates, full moons." says Fregonara.

The little factoids are my favorite part of the calendar, but no matter what your favorite part is, these are very easy to get your hands on.

"They can either contact a DNR district office, our Charleston office, any convenience store, mom and pop stores all over the state. They can call the Elkins office and we can send them one. We have a list of all the available stores on our DNR website." says Fregonara.

It's that easy, so whatever route you take, make sure it takes you to a wildlife calendar, someone on your gift list will thank you.
