Hundreds of vendors, thousands of people and countless opportunities to buy something you'll love to take in the woods with you. That's right, the West Virginia Hunting and Fishing Show is this weekend.

Glenn Jarrell, with The West Virginia Trophy Hunters Association, says it's gonna be huge. "This year's event at the Hunting and Fishing show is sold out. We have some exciting vendors and outfitters there. The DNR will be there with their new trailer with a laser shooter that both kids and adults can shoot. It shows them how accurate they shoot and it shows if their shot is safe or not."

That's going to be very cool, and we'll have more on that in a later edition of West Virginia Wildlife. Glenn's been putting this event on for a long time, and some of the outfitters have been here every year providing you with a chance to go on some sweet trips.

"The regular outfitters are coming from South Africa, New Zealand, all those places. You can get any kind of exotic hunt you want. The fishing captains will be there again, with everything from Great Lake trips to the East Coast and Canada."says Jarell.

You can also just buy a fishing pole or some cammo from the vendors, or you might want to take a shot at a big prize at a great price at the charity auction.

"You'll be able to bid on fishing trips, hunting trips, apparel of all kinds. They'll even have guns and sculptures, which are beautiful, about anything you want, any outdoor enthusiast will have something to bid on."says Jarell.

The hunting and fishing show kicks off Friday at noon and wraps up Sunday at 5. If you get a chance, stop by our booth and say hi, we'd love to see you.
