"He had fun, just him telling his stories with his buddies and I wanted to be part of that, so now I get to be with him doing what he loves and now I love it."

Kari Mihal is talking about how she began what's become a love affair with bow hunting. For more than a dozen years, she's been climbing out of bed and into a tree stand, always with her husband near by and often with their young son. The perfect family time.

"I think it's great for a marriage, we make memories that we talk about for ever. It's nice that our son is old enough to go with us. It's very rewarding. It's fun seeing the sun set and rise and being with your family."

The Mihal's spend literally every free minute they have during hunting season in the woods. In fact, 95% of the meat on their table year round comes from the woods. Kari is a big contributor, but she says she couldn't have done it without a lot of coaching and teaching from her husband Tim. Now he admits she's the better shot and brings home bragging rights more often than not.

"It's terrible, hahaha, she kills more animals than I do. No, it's great, it's the best hunting partner, buddy, I've ever had. How often do you go out? Every chance we get."

Tim says he doesn't exactly have to drag Kari out of the bed to get up for hunting. In fact, she might have the hunting bug more than he does.
"I don't know if you can get it worse than me, but she's just as bad as any person you can ever ask about hunting, that's all she thinks about."

Talk about your match made in heaven.
