![]() Spring Gobbler Season
Safety is key whenever you're in the woods, but especially during turkey season. Hunters don't have to wear blaze orange in the woods, they're heavily camouflaged, and usually try to find some place to hide from the birds. That means it's especially important to see exactly what you're shooting at. Always set up on a turkey, never stalk. If you see another hunter, don't move, wave or make a noise with your turkey call, instead whistle or just say you're a hunter. Make sure you're turkey is within the 40 yard range and, try to get out and sight in your shotgun before you hit the woods. You can take two beared turkeys during the season and only one per day. You have to be out of the woods by one in the afternoon and you absolutely cannot hunt over any bait, and make sure you're hunting license is current. That's it, follow these guidelines and you'll have a safe, fun, and, hopefully, productive time in the woods.
