This is Chuck Adams doing what he does when he's not on top of some desolate mountain looking for another world record. The best archer in the world is also the sports biggest ambassador and he focuses on getting the word out to the next generation.

"It's very important to get kids involved, I think there are more opportunities than there ever were. When I grew up, there were no turkeys, the game department planted turkeys when I was a teenager and I was hunting them as a late teen. We need the young kids because there are fewer hunters coming up then the generation that's hunting now." says Adams.

Known as the world's best bow hunter, Adams says that also means there will be less people advocating for the sport, which could mean the anti-hunting groups would outnumber those who love to hunt. Adams warns that could mean that anti-hunting lobbyists would be stronger than they are now. Family is they key, Adams says his dad and granddad introduced him to hunting.

"I grew up in a hunting family, my grandfather hunted, my father hunted. They were gun hunters. I grew up in Northern California where you only had one deer tag a year. My dad had some really good places to hunt and they taught me well and I found I was dreaming of hunting deer all year long."

Those day dreams actually put him on the track of achieving his overall dream, giving up the security of being a college professor, to hit the hunting circuit writing about what he loved to do.

"I started out teaching college English and I decided I didn't like the path because college started during archery season, so I did what I really wanted to do and wrote magazine articles. I've been doing that for 35 years and I've been busier than I've ever wanted to be."

Busy hunting some of the most dangerous animals in some of the toughest terrain imaginable. He's been so successful, he's written two books and packs the house where ever he speaks.
