Chances are you're either a wildlife lover or know someone who is, if so, we have the perfect thing for you, a West Virginia Wildlife 2010 calendar.

Art Shomo, with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources says this year's calendar is special.
"This is the 25th year of the calendar, our silver anniversary. We usually have three feature articles and this year, one of our articles is on all 25 years of covers, that's kind of neat to see all those through the years. We originally started as a 16 month calendar, but now we're a traditional calendar year."

These calendars are full of little tidbits of information, things that are month specific. If something is going on in the wild in March, it's a pretty sure bet you'll find it on this page. Same goes for every other month of the year.

"Every day there are facts about nature, like an owl starts nesting this time of year, how many young there are, the moon phases, the sunrise-sunset times, good fishing days, although as far as I'm concerned, any day you can get out is a good day for fishing!" says Shomo.

But this 40th anniversary edition will be best remembered for the very thing that makes these calendars keepsakes, the artwork is breathtaking.

"We have everything from birds, frogs, insects, mammals, a variety of things-mostly birds, people like to paint them.
It's a good stocking stuffer, it's full of information, things you can do each month to enjoy the outdoors better, tips on feeding birds."says Shomo.

And the price is definitely right, it's only $10 and if you want to ship one to a buddy, it's only $4 more. Get your holiday shopping off on the right foot, or paw, you'll be glad you did.
