There's about three weeks to go before christmas, so we thought we'd give you a little help for that person that seems to have everything...a wildlife calendar.

JIM FREGONARA WV DNR SAYS:
"These make great stocking stuffers, they're sent to people all over the country, even over the world. A lot of people say they really like this calendar because it is unique and they like to send it to folks who have left the area to kind of bring them back to the state."

And they can get a unique look at the state through the eyes of some very talented artists. this year's there's a different little twist to the wildlife calendar.

JIM FREGONARA WV DNR SAYS:
"This is our 2009 wildlife calendar and we've been publishing this for 24 years. What's unique is that all are original paintings, no photographs, and the paintings look so realistic, it's unbelievable."

Great looking artwork and some pretty interesting little tidbits hidden all along the 12 pages. Turn the page and you'll find something you probably didn't know, or maybe just forgot. Either way, it's good info!

JIM FREGONARA WV DNR SAYS:
"It has all kinds of information and every month features a different animal, plant or land scape. Also, it has useful information and facts about hunting, fishing, when to clean your rifle for fall season, when you should start getting into shape to hit the woods, when's a good time to look for certain kinds of birds."

One thing's for sure, this is a good time to look for your wildlife calendar. Someone you love will be glad you did. For West Virginia Wildlife, I'm Patrick McMurtry, Eyewitness News.
