"So, what do you think-did you do pretty good? Yes, it was one of the best rounds I ever shot."

Steve tasker is one of the hundreds of students in the state who picked up a bow in saturday's archery in the schools tournament.

Steve Tasker/Marshall County says:
"It was pretty nerve wracking, I was shaking quite a bit. I was nervous when I first got to the line, I shot the first two rounds and only dropped one on each round and then I shot a 50 in my third round and when I shot that 50, I knew I was going to shoot good today."

That 50 in the third round was perfect. Five bulls. Although archery isn't anything new to steve, or even shooting competitions, this program offered something a little different.

Steve Tasker/Marshall County says:
"I've been shooting archery for about 3-4 years now. I shoot 4 point and IBO. When I heard they were going to do Archery in the Schools, I thought it would be fun so I got into it last year. I loved it, I shot great and I decided to come back this year and shoot it."

The archery in the schools program has grown by leaps and bounds. The first year, students shot at capitol high, this year it filled up the summersville convention and visitor's bureau. Summersville paid for these massive trophy's and its mayor says the whole competition was impressive.

Rober Shafer/Summersville mayor says:
"I'm much surprised by how professional Scott and the DNR handled this, bringing them in, moving them in and out. Actually, our local county here took off first and 9:00 and it was just like clockwork."
