Sarah Warner/DNR Wife and mother of future record breaker says:
"We really enjoy the outdoors, both of our extended families are really into hunting, fishing and anything in the outdoors, so we thought it was important for him to have a lifetime hunting and fishing license so they can get together during our family functions."

Sarah Warner is talking about a lifetime and fun and adventure for her son sam. The little guy is the proud owner of a West Virginia lifetime hunting and fishing license, even if he doesn't appreciate it yet. People working with Sam's dad chipped in the $285 and bought the infant license just weeks after he was born.

This is another popular time for these lifetime licenses.

Joyce Newcomber/DNR says:
"They're very popular, especially around Christmas time. Grandparents and parents want to buy them for their infants which is a great advantage for when they get older. When these children get older and move out of state, we would still honor these licenses."

That's important because it makes it easy for them to come back to West Virginia to hunt and spend time with their parents and grandparents in the woods. A lifetime of hunting and fishing. That's especially important to Sarah.

Sarah Warner/DNR Wife and mother of future record breaker says:
"If he ever chooses to leave West Virginia, he can always come back home and fish and hunt and things like that and it's important that he'll be able to come back home and do those things with us."

"I enjoy fishing and camping and that's something we can do together. He's ready to do that now and we're really excited about spenind time with him and as a mother, I really enjoy getting our family together and going camping."

And thanks to Sam's infant lifetime hunting and fishing license, Sarah knows the Warner family will be spending years of quality time in the mountains and woods of West Virginia.
