W.Va. in path of new storm, heavy snow expected February 09, 2010 6:55 AM
CHARLESTON, W.Va.
Parts of West Virginia still digging out from a weekend storm could be buried in snow again as another storm hits the state.
More than 40 counties are under winter storm warnings through Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service says Keyser could see 6 inches to a foot of new snow. That's on top of the 32 inches that the Mineral County town received over the weekend.
Other parts of the Eastern Panhandle, along with Preston and Tucker counties in northern West Virginia, also could see a foot or more of snow.
Smaller accumulations are expected in the Ohio Valley, the Northern Panhandle, and central and southeastern West Virginia.
