USA Update

Rick Lord A crazy carriage ride in Georgia, party four on the highway in California, and a dazzling display in New York on this USA Update

EYEWITNESS ONLINE WEBCAST VIDEO

Georgia... it was a wild ride caught on video. An out of control horse and carriage, racing down the city streets of Savannah. The carriage driver said the horse got spooked and took off, clipping five cars in its mad dash. The driver was thrown from the carriage, and a 67-year-old passenger was also injured. Others in the carriage, including three children, were not hurt. The horse eventually calmed down after people caught it and fed it carrots...

California... part of Route 41 in Fresno was temporarily shut down after a big rig filled with beer overturned. An on-ramp and the slow lane on the south side of the highway were closed for four hours while crews cleaned up the mess. The driver wasn't injured, but the cause of the accident is still under investigation...

New York... Ford is celebrating Mustang's 50th anniversary by unveiling its new 2015 model at the top of the Empire State Building. The car was disassembled, taken up freight elevators in eight large pieces, and then reassembled on the observation deck. The new models will be available later this year in white or blue with either manual or automatic transmission. This car will be at the top of the Empire State Building until Friday. And that's been a great view on this USA Update.
