Oklahoma... a building full of chemicals explodes with fireballs lighting up the night sky in Tulsa. The fire melted much of the metal building, which contained gas, thinners, and industrial oil. Everyone is accounted for, but one worker has a minor burn. Neighbors were told to avoid breathing in the smoke because of the harmful chemicals involved. The cause is now under investigation...

Missouri... the Kansas City Zoo was partially shut down this afternoon after several chimps escaped from their exhibit. As a precaution, the Africa section of the zoo was closed off. One chimp could be seen walking around and climbing up a fence. It's unclear how many animals broke free from their enclosure. The situation was still developing early Thursday evening...

Maryland... a cherry tree that Al Capone donated to the Union Memorial Hospital is blooming. The legendary mobster got treatment there in 1939, and donated two trees as thanks. Only one still remains; the other was removed during renovations in the mid-1950's. Administrators say they use the tree and its story as an attraction to recruit residents. And with that, it's time to spring out of this USA Update.
