Pennsylvania... an enormous gas well explosion sends one person to the hospital and leaves another person missing. It all happened this morning in Greene County at the Chevron Appalachia-owned Lanco 7-H well. About 20 people were working at the time. One had to be taken to the hospital and one was still unaccounted for as of early this evening. No word yet what sparked the explosion...

Colorado... a black SUV barrels into a DMV office, but it wasn't a driver's test gone wrong. A 10-year-old boy got behind the wheel of his mothers SUV after she went inside and left him in the car, and drove it through the front window of the building. The kid has been charged with careless driving. Police say they cannot charge the mother because she says she turned off the ignition before entering the DMV...

California... fans are getting a close-up look at the actual costumes from more than 20 movies, including the five Oscar nominees for best costume design. It's the 22nd year for this free exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles. Those who attend say it's like taking a walk back through Hollywood history. And that's the last scene on this USA Update.
