Minnesota... at least one person is dead and more than a dozen have been injured after an apartment building explodes in Minneapolis. Authorities recovered the body in the rubble. Fourteen others were hurt and one person still remains unaccounted for. Investigators are focusing on a possible gas leak as the cause. The body of the victim has been turned over to the medical examiner...

California... people are getting an up close and personal look at the Rose Parade floats, but it's time consuming; viewing all the floats requires walking approximately two-and-a-half miles and typically takes at least two hours. Tickets cost ten bucks and can be purchased at the venue. The Rose Parade is one of the most watched parades in the country every year...

Pennsylvania... people are seeing butter in a unique way at the annual farm show. A one-thousand pound butter sculpture was unveiled today in Harrisburg. It depicts a family drinking shakes alongside a cow couple dancing. The statue represents the 60th anniversary of the show's iconic milkshake served by the Pennsylvania Dairymen's Association. And that's been a smooth and creamy USA Update.
