USA Update
Arizona... a fast-growing wildfire is burning through the Prescott National Forest. Hundreds of acres are already scorched, and more than 200 homes have been evacuated. Gusty wind is making it tough for crews to fight the flames. Multiple emergency agencies have come to help. Campsites and parts of the highway nearby are being closed as they try to get at least some of the fire contained...
Michigan... a section of the Detroit Metropolitan Airport was evacuated this morning after a K9 picked up the scent of explosions on the apron, where planes land. Officers say the dog detected the smell in cargo from China that was bound for Atlanta. After an X-ray, it was determined the cargo was safe, travelers were allowed back in the terminal, and flights resumes as scheduled... California... San Francisco is unveiling the city's new hybrid buses. Officials say the biodiesel-electric hybrid bus is one of the cleanest vehicles in the country. It also features an ergonomic design and paint that can't be vandalized by graffiti. They aren't cheap though- each bus costs about $750,000. And that's the last stop on this USA Update.
