A local company is helping to brighten the future for children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Owners of Leonard Electrical in St. Albans are donating all the electrical supplies for this years St. Jude Dream Home. Employees say it is a project close to their heart, and say it is a way to help sick children.
The most modern lighting is going into the home as well as an intercom system, the first of its kind in the area. Sharon Bell, an employee at the shop, helped to pick out all of the lighting fixtures that will go into the house. She says helping children with cancer is very close to her heart. Bell had a child die from cancer at the age of three and half. Sharon's daughter had a type of cancer of the kidney, now Sharon is determined to help other families not have to go through the pain she did. The St. Jude Dream Home Project is one of the most profitable fund raisers for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. The hospital raises money to help children who are far too young to die from various types of cancer.
