Judge in Kentucky gives panel one day in fen-phen trial July 03, 2008 3:24 AM COVINGTON, Ky. Jurors in northern Kentucky are expected to continue deliberations today in the federal case against two lawyers charged with defrauding their clients out of 65 million dollars in a diet-drug settlement.
Jurors in the case of suspended lawyers William Gallion and Shirley Cunningham Junior have deliberated for about 48 hours over seven days, after hearing more than six weeks of testimony. The case has been closely watched in the horse racing industry because Gallion and Cunningham are part-owners of 2007's Horse of the Year, Curlin. |
