Friday Night Football Extra
Football Scrapbook: Mark Plants

It was a year in which many figured the great Randy Moss and Bobbie Howard, who would later make their way to the National Football League, would lead DuPont High School to a third straight Class AAA state championship trophy.

The South Charleston Black Eagles of '94 had other ideas. SC avenged a regular season defeat by upending the Panthers in the AAA semifinals, 10-7. They went on to claim the AAA state championship in what was the first year for the Super Six at Wheeling Island Stadium.

Future Mountaineer and Kanawha County Prosecutor Mark Plants was one of the leaders for Bryce Casto's Black Eagles.

Mark Martin visits with Plants in this edition of Friday Night Football Scrapbook.
