School: Cabell Midland Primary Sport: Football Fullback is not a stat friendly postion, but Lowell Farley is the exception to the rule, racking up yards and touchdowns by the handful. "I'm glad coach utlilizes me at fullback because i used to be a tailback. At fullback it allows me to block which is one of my strong parts now and i can run the all too, but then it allows another back to be in a the same time." Earlier in the season Farley broke Cabell Midland's all-time rushing yards record, a mark he set for himself since day on. "It was a goal that i set when i first came to high school and accomplishing that was one of my dreams." Lowell was forced to grow up quickly, his dad passed away when he was in seventh grade, leaving him to be the father figure for his three younger siblings. "Made me pretty sad, a lot of people talk about him and it makes me want to be more like him. I can two little sisters and they are great. I love them and my brother and we like to stick together." Farley carries a 3.5 GPA, preparing himself for life at the next level. "I just really want to get a good scholarship to school. At football, i push really hard in the weight room and everything that i do." The Knights have been the top team in triple a for awhile, and Farley hopes that carries all the way into early December. "We set goals at the beginning of the year, and one of them was to be the best running team ever in West Virginia. We've pretty much accomplished that and the other goal was a state championship and that is mainly what we want." |
