School: Winfield Primary Sport: Golf Its been the best season of his career, as every round just keeps getting better for Chris Williams. "This year has been nice so far. I've played my best and improved the most and every round seems like its the best." His Winfield team is also enjoying a rise to the top, as they have had their best season since joining triple a. "Its been going good this year. The team looks good. All the matches have been going good so far and i think we can make it to the state tournament." Williams made his mark this past summer finishing in the top ten at the wv amateur and receiving top junior honors. "That's really important because it lets me know that i can compete with anybody and not just kids in high school." Chris carries a 4.5 gpa, excelling in the classroom like he does on the links. "I work just as hard in school because it is good for college." With the Generals rolling in 2012, Williams hopes his team can bring home their first state championship since 2004. "Our region is really tough but or team is the best since i've been here. I think we have a good shot at making it. We haven't won it since 2004 but i think if we do well we can win it."
