Student: Hannah Shreve
School: George Washington
Primary Sport: Volleyball

The 2012 volleyball season is just under way, and GW's Hannah Shreve has been waiting for this moment for a long time. "i'm excited for the season to start. Its been a long pre-season a lot of august practices but it will be great to finally make an impact on the season."

Shreve is one of the most athletic players in the country, the 6'4 senior can touch the rim in basketball showing off her jumping ability, making it almost impossible to hit over top of her. "At this level, being able to jump high allows me to hit over other teams blocks which opens up the whole floor for me to hit."

Her athletisim made her one of the most sought after recruits in the country, but she chose to stay close to home and play at West Virignia. "Having my family close by is important. Also, my brother lives in Texas, and with wvu's move to the Big 12 he will get a chance to see me play."

Hannah carries a 4.8 GPA, showing she is a star both on and off the court. "I take my academics very serioulsy because it can open a lot of doors for me. So, i take it seriously in there."

Before she heads up to morgantown, shreve has several goals still left to accomplish as a Patriot, number one on the list, a state championship. "This season means a lot to me. We've come up short the past three years here and i just want to win it all this year."
