Scholar Athlete of the Week
from Eyewitness Sports Online

Student: Sarah Reynolds
School: St. Albans
Primary Sport: Basketball

Sarah Reynolds experienced a nightmare back in December. During a game she partially tore her ACL, but with only a few games left in her career, she decided to tough it out.
"I was scared to come back. I was scared to go out there full fledged. Now, not only this knee but my other knee for over compinsation. Just have to suck it up"Reynolds said.

With a big brace on her knee, Reynolds has returned to the red dragon starting lineup. And despite the injuries, her production has never dropped off.
"Coming back from that has been tough. I'm still trying to get back in shape, but i'm doing better than before i hurt my knee."

Reynolds carries a 4.6 GPA. Putting her studies way ahead of anything else.
"I study hard. I take AP classes college classes, studying comes before hanging out with friends going to the gym."

The 2012 season has not gone as expected for the St Albans, but Reynolds knows the best is yet to come.
"We've been working hard, but we've defiently should've won more games than we lost but we are still working and hopefully we will win some more games."

Reynolds hopes her senior campaign is one to remember, even if a trip to Charleston is not in the cards.
"As long as our team plays to our capablilties that we can achieve anything so hopefully we end this season on a good note."
