The Road To Wheeling Round 2: Wirt County
2009 West Virginia High School Football

The Wirt County Tigers made history last Saturday night by hosting the first-ever home playoff game at Wilson-Eismon Field in Elizabeth. The Tigers were successful by knocking off the Iaeger Cubs, 34-12.

Now 9-2, the Tigers will head to Richwood to take on the 11-0 and No. 3 seeded Lumberjacks Saturday (Nov. 21) night. Richwood also hosted a home playoff game for the first-time ever last weekend and stayed perfect with a win over Pendleton County.

The two schools met during the preseason in a scrimmage.
