The Road To Wheeling Round 2: Sherman
2009 West Virginia High School Football

The Sherman Tide continues to roll in 2009. The Tide survived a wild, 48-41, victory over Champanville at Zontini Field in Seth last Saturday afternoon in an opening round Class AA playoff game.

It was the first-ever playoff game at the home of the Tide. Sherman, the No. 3 seed in Class AA, will return home this Friday (Nov. 20) night to go up against the Bluefield Beavers, the No. 6 seed. Kickoff is set for 7:30.

Sherman will enter with a record of 11-0 while Bluefield, winners of nine state championships, will come to Boone County with a 9-2 record.
