The Road To Wheeling: Ravenswood
2009 West Virginia High School Football

For the second straight year the Ravenswood Red Devils are a part of the Class AA field. More importantly, Ravenswood will be at home for the opening round just like 2008.

The Red Devils of 2009 finished with an 8-2 record. Both losses came against playoff teams, Point Pleasant (Class AA) and Ripley (Class AAA).

The Red Devils, the 8th seed, will meet James Monroe (8-2) at 1:30 Saturday (November 14) afternoon inside cozy Flinn Field.

Ravenswood has a rich playoff history with four state titles. This will mark the first time the school has hosted a playoff game on a Saturday afternoon.
