The Road To Wheeling: Parkersburg South
2009 West Virginia High School Football

After a 0-3 start, things weren't looking great for the Parkersburg South Patriots in the 2009 West Virginia high school football season. The Patriots, though, rebounded and won seven straight to reach the playoffs of Class AAA for the second year in a row.

A year ago, the Patriots lost in the opening round to Bridgeport. This year as the 12th seed in Class AAA they will move on up Interstate 79 to play the second-seeded Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (9-1) at East-West Stadium Friday (November 13).

We visit with Parkersburg South head coach Jon Bolen on "The Road to Wheeling."
