The Road To Wheeling Super Six: Weirton Madonna
2009 West Virginia High School Football

The Weirton Madonna Blue Dons will try to cap off a perfect 14-0 season on Saturday, December 5, with a victory in the Class A state championship game. The Blue Dons of head coach Bob Kramer, the No. 1 seed, will meet up with No. 2 seed Man at 7 p.m. inside Wheeling Island Stadium. Madonna lost in the title game last year to Williamstown and in 2004 to Wheeling Central. Madonna knocked off Central last week, 18-7, in the semifinals to get back to the title game. Madonna is looking for its first title since 1987 with a 22-8 victory over Matewan.
