An abundance of great story lines will make for an interesting championship Saturday at the 101st West Virginia Boys State High School Basketball Tournament.

The three title games unfold inside the Charleston Civic Center Coliseum.

The day will begin in Class AA as No. 1 Robert C. Byrd meets No. 3 Bluefield. Byrd is 23-0 on the season and will look to knock off the defending champs for the school's first basketball title. Bluefield is looking to go back-to-back, something they did back in the 1995 and 1996 seasons.

The Class A game pits No. 1 Wheeling Central going against No. 3 seed Charleston Catholic.

Central has won nine state titles, six in Class A and three in Class AA.

Central has beaten Charleston Catholic three times in four title game meetings.

For Catholic, its the school's ninth trip to the championship game in the last 10 years. Catholic also made it and won the crown in 2000. Catholic also has claimed championships in 2006, 2007 and 2012.

The game will be the finale for veteran head coach Bill McClanahan who is stepping down after 13 seasons.

The nightcap pits No. 5 Huntington and No. 7 Hurricane. Huntington unseated No. 1 and previously unbeaten Washington Patriots. The Highlanders return to the title game for the first time since the O.J. Mayo-led 2007 squad rolled to the crown.

Hurricane outlasted Hedgesville, the No. 3 seed, in three overtimes to reach the championship game for the first time in school history.

Huntington won the regular season meeting between the two by a 50-48 count.
