It was a week to embrace history at the Charleston Civic Center Coliseum with the 100th annual West Virginia Boys State High School Basketball Tournament.

Former teams were recognized along with players and coaches during the four-day tournament. Plus, displays were set up in the CCCC lobby to remember greats from the past.

So, on the final day of edition No. 100...some history was made.

Tug Valley defeated Charleston Catholic for the Class A title one year after winning it all in Class AA. By doing so, the Mingo County-based school became the first in state history to win back-to-back crowns in two different classifications.

Check out the story of the Panthers.
