Dave Rogers watched a Martinsburg High team win a Class AAA state championship for the third time in his career on Saturday night.

While they have all been special, this one may have had just a bit more meaning for the long-time leader of the Bulldogs.

Before the season started, Rogers endured a health scare that could have easily cost him his life.

Months later, though, he looked liked like his old self while guiding the Eastern Panhandle school back to the mountain top of Class AAA Mountain State basketball.

Check out his story.
