The West Virginai Boys State High School Tournament turns 100 years old on Wednesday.

The opening day of the 2013 affair will feature six games, including all four Class A quarterfinal round showdowns.

The Class A field not only has last year's state champ in Charleston Catholic, the No. 3 seed, but this year will include the 2012 Class AA title winner in Tug Valley. The Mingo County school dropped from Class AA to Class A and will enter as the top seed.

Catholic opens with No. 6 seed Buffalo, a team they have defeated three times this season. Tug Valley goes against No. 8 seed Clarksburg Notre Dame, coached by former WVU Mountaineer Jarrod West.

The other two matchups will have No. 4 Tucker going against No. 5 Greater Beckley Christian and No. 2 Magnolia meeting No. 7 Wheeling Central.
