Coming off a title in the 43rd Annual Pat Vance Invitational, Winfield captured its second team title in a matter of days in wrestling by claiming the crown of the WCHS-FOX 11 Putnam County Wrestling Championships.
Winfield won the event for a second straight year, this time on its home gym. The Generals outdistanced Hurricane, Poca and Buffalo.
In high school basketball action GW, Hoover and South Charleston all picked up wins while Huntington High lost on the road.
