When WVU plays Syracuse in the New Era Pinstrip Bowl on December 29, Mountaineer coaches and fans will say good-bye to the "Big 3" at the game's end. The third member of the trio announced on Monday that the contest will be his college finale.
While Geno Smith and Tavon Austin are graduating, Stedman Bailey could have returned for another year in a Mountaineer uniform. But the guy who dons number three feels the time is right to try his lot at the next level.
In addition to Smith, the quarterback, Austin, the electrifying all-purpose performer, Bailey has became one of the most exciting players in Mountaineer history. He was one of the country's top pass catchers in 2012, leading the nation in TD receptions with 23.
