Remembering John Dickensheets
Sportscasting Icon's Funeral Is Thursday

If there was a game or a sporting event in the Kanawha Valley, chances are John Dickensheets called it on radio.

Dickensheets, a broadcasting icon not only in the Charleston area but state-wide, died on December 1 following a long battle with Parkinson's.

His funeral is set for Thursday in Hurricane.

Mark Martin looks back on Dickensheets' memorable career in broadcasting.
