West Virginia high school football has lost one of its top leaders.
Ralph Hensley is retiring as the head coach at Riverside following a six-season stint. Hensley was an assistant at the school, which brought together DuPont and East Bank in 199, for eight seasons. Before coming to Riverside, Hensley enjoyed a successful 20-season run guiding East Bank's program. The Pioneers won four Class AA state championships under Hensley's guidance. Hensley's 176 career wins is the second most among Kanawha County football coaches.
