In what was the final season for West Virginia Conference football, the University of Charleston's Pat Kirkland and Jordan Roberts earned a pair of major awards.
Kirkland, the second-year head coach, was named the league's Coach of the Year.
Roberts, a product of nearby Scott High School, was named Offensive Player of the Year.
Several teams from the WVIAC, including UC, will join the new Mountain East Conference next year.
