The West Virginia High School Soccer Tournament set to take place in Beckley this weekend, has been rescheduled due to weather conditions.
The WVSSAC made the announcement Tuesday. The tournament has been moved to Tuesday November 6 and Wednesday November 7, according to a release from the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission.
"Other venues were discussed but pulling the necessary personnel needed to host a state tournament would be extremely difficult at this late date," said Gary Ray, Executive Director. "The tournament committee at the Beckley YMCA facility has more than 75 volunteers who meet numerous times during the year planning the event. It is in the best interest of our student athletes to reschedule the tournament ..."
All game times and scheduled opponents will remain the same.
