Stuart Appleby has reached golf's magic number, shooting a 59 at the Greenbrier Classic.
Appleby becomes the fifth PGA Tour player to reach the milestone. The Australian's round comes less than a month after Paul Goyos had a 59 at John Deere Classic.
Appleby was 11 under par in Sunday's final round. He made nine birdies and an eagle on the par-70 Old White course. He is the first to shoot a 59 on a par-70 course.
The others to shoot 59 were Al Geiberger in 1977, Chip Beck in 1991 and David Duval in 1999.
