In 2004, the Nationwide Tour came to West Virginia. D.A. Points won the first-ever Pete Dye Golf Classic.
Now, six years later, Points is back in the Mountain State and contending for the crown of The Greenbrier Classic, which is in its first year.
Points shot a sizzling 61 on Saturday in round three action at the par-70 Old White Course. The score moved him into second place at 15-under. However, B.J. Holmes had the low score of the day at 60. The two were trying to match Sam Snead's 59 in 1959.
